That led Meeker to covet a seat on the Austin City Council. He ran against an incumbent council member and lost. What bothered him more than losing, however, was what he perceived as an unfair complaint lodged against his campaign late in the race. The complaint was lodged with the Texas Ethics Commission and a news release about it attracted the attention of two Austin newspapers. One of the things that bothered Meeker was that ...

The Jason Meeker Campaign invites you to a good, old fashioned ICE CREAM SOCIAL on Wednesday, April 30 at 6PM! Come join your friends and neighbors at Amy's Ice Cream and Phil's Ice House, and help support Jason. Why Amy's Ice Cream? Because it's a great way to stay cool while we're taking a lot of heat from the insiders and special interests behind the other candidate. (And Phil's sells beer!)

Welcome Allan McMurtry!

April 4, 2008 – 2:35 am
Allan McMurtry is the new treasurer for the Jason Meeker for city council campaign.  We made the change on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, but with so many forums, it's been hard to find the time to make a proper announcement. This campaign thanks Rick Culleton for all he's done for RG4N and the campaign. He's a great friend and was a fantastic treasurer, but needed to spend more time tending to his business and family. I can appreciate that. Thank you, Rick. And let's welcome Allan!
